NDA Age Calculator

The NDA age calculator shows whether a candidate is eligible for the National Defence Academy based on the date of birth. The NDA exam has a fixed age limit, and even one extra day can make a student ineligible. Instead of counting age in years only, the calculator uses the exact date of birth and calculates age in years, months and days.

NDA Age Limit

To appear in the NDA written exam, a candidate’s age must fall within the official range defined by UPSC. A student is eligible only if the age on the reference date lies between 16 years 6 months and 19 years 6 months. Anyone younger than the minimum limit or older than the upper limit is not considered eligible for the NDA selection process. Educational qualification is also important, as the candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. The age criteria are identical for both boys and girls.

In simple terms, the age requirement for NDA is the same for all candidates: from 16.5 years to 19.5 years. No relaxation is given to any category, including SC, ST or OBC, and the academy requires candidates to be unmarried at the time of joining.
